New music: Stornoway "Zorbing"

Stornoway make uncomplicated pop songs. Minimalist production, unadorned vocals and tasteful instrumentation compliment these simple, innocent love songs that get by on charm. The Oxford UK band's excellent debut record Beachcomber's Windowsill is out this week - highly recommend picking this up.

Zorbing --bizarre extreme ball sport + first track on the album-- starts with accapella vocals, but it doesn't take long to pick up steam. By the time a blaring horn section comes in about halfway through, the song is already bouncing and careening like a 'zorb' down a hill.
